Love having a leo, switched to it from a moonlite because of backfocus. I have to say the the leo is a lot beefier of a focuser than I expected. Additionally if you have an EdgeHD 9.25 and get optec or moonlite focuser/mirrorlock knobs you can use a leo on it.

Hello, my new imaging setup was completed recently. I found Prism Advanced to meet every need I have. It is stable, doesn’t crash, plate solves fast, autoguides more consistently then everything I used with the older setup.
All in all I am very happy with it!

I highly recommend this Allsky camera! It has an amazingly well built camera housing – it couldn’t be better! The software is much more advanced than I expected & still only took a couple minutes to setup. There are tons of options – all the standard setting & tons of other amazing options – they’ve thought of everything! A few notable features I like: star counting, auto AVI creation, ability to host camera view on a personal website, embed image status info on the images, ability to link to a cloud sensor, manual or automatic exposure settings, ability to create and removed dark frames and/or hot pixels, and much more. Also, Hyperion Astronomy offers some great personalized support – by email, text or phone.

Prism was chosen to supply the data-streams for our astrophysics research with the multi-longitude Global Jet Watch observatories as it was the only commercial software capable of controlling our array of cameras. Our observations require at least 4 cameras running simultaneously with several others being available for other modes during a night. Typically we are running one (soon to be upgraded to two) spectrograph cameras, a guiding camera and two (soon to be three) commensal photometric calibration imaging cameras, with an astrometric acquisition camera available as well. These are controlled via Prism’s scripting capability to ensure our supply of data to HQ at the University of Oxford keeps coming from sunset to sunrise from each of our observatories

I want to say right up front after using this software for 1 1/2 years now; Prism 10 Advanced is the best software I have ever used in my observatory. The price tag of the Prism 10 Advanced version was only $499 and was the best spent money in my 25 years’ experience in astronomy and astrophotography.
I was relying on multiple pieces of software in the past all running at the same time and bogging down my computer! Prism 10 Advanced has now replaced ALL my software I was using to take CCD images that have been published multiple times in several magazines.

Prism 10 Advanced has streamlined ALL my processes to achieve publishable images in a very short setup time per evening. One of its greatest features is being able to automate my observatory in a very precision way. I never dreamed that being automated would be so easy. I have achieved image targets with precision guiding and I never even opened the door to the observatory! It was all done from my house via the internet!

I highly recommend Prism 10 software to all that want to save time and money. This is the best and fastest software on the market for astrophotography and automation in my opinion and is very affordable. Download it and see for yourself….you will become amazed very quickly.

I highly recommend Prism to my fellow amateur astrophotographers and citizen scientists. It’s a very rare treat indeed to come across a software package that doesn’t require a whole host of 3rd party addon programs for you to accomplish your goals. From data acquisition, to analysis and processing, Prism really is a “one stop shop” for your software needs. Instead of learning 3-7 different programs, you can learn and use just one to do it all. Autoguiding, automated data acquisition, processing, finding asteroids, plate solving, and hardware analysis, all from the same package. This along with industry leading support, and you truly have the best of breed software package out there today.

I’m commission a site for serius observations and there are a lot of requirements and technologies to be harmonized and so many areas of post-processing that require dedicated software that you can really get lost. PRISM is open and allows full integration of any equipment in few mouse clicks with an impressive set of analysis and post-processing and automation tools that can drive efficiently you into a professional experience of the sky wonders.

I purchased this hoping to automate the task of flats with SG Pro software. This things is perfect. Once setup and running I am able to not only do flats, but the light blocking when closed lets me do Bias during the day time. Really happy with the build quality and operation of this device. I would recommend anyone wanting to get precision flats and automate the control of that process to get this item. Well worth the price and shipping was very fast! Thanks!

I am constantly learning the wealth of features contained in this software. I used the Pro version for a while, but wanted some of the additional features in Prism Advanced. I must say that I have not been disappointed. This is a great software package. Just be prepared to spend time learning how to maximize all the features. One last comment. The customer support is excellent!

I have received LE Pyxs, very good quality, but does not work with Linux.
But I’m in contact with Optec to get the Linux driver.
We’ll see later if it works properly.

A couple of years ago, I wanted to replace my old VMA200 mount with something more modern.
While visiting the Paris Astronomy show (RCE 2012) I noticed the Nova120. At that time, it was a brand new offering that I have not seen before, hence my hesitation to purchase
I wanted to purchase a E.U product to guarantee the quality and ease of access to support in my own language. I checked the forums and heard nothing but good things about the Nova120 so I decided to purchase it.

I have used enough astronomical instruments in the last 30 years to know what great quality is. The Nova120 coupled with the PRISM v10 and a CDK20 (508 mm) helped me pull off 900s unguided images with great ease. (Raw FITS File here). Payload of this setup is about 80 kg (160 lb).

The dizzying slew speeds, excellent accuracy and painless tracking makes this hobby easy and enjoyable again.
After using this setup for a year and a half, the only problem I had was rebalacing the gear after changing scopes. The superb electronics and software included make this tasks even more easier that just eyeballing the scope for movement due to unbalance.

You can very easily watch the motor consumption and know where the unbalance is….that easy. I have so much data that it is becoming difficult yo keep up.
I have absolutely zero regrets, this purchase has made everything easier: No summer/winter worm-gear adjustments, no guiding… just start imaging night after night after night.

I have much of your software working at this time… I have it parked on my main computer, and a notebook… My main computer is a OverClock computer with 32 Gigs of RAM Clocking presently at 4400MHz with software parked on SSD drives… The rotation dome by NexDome is still not working… Most problems like this have to do with ASCOM Drivers… There is not very much detail information on how to use this software… I have to feel my way to a total operational staus… Second issue… The rain in the San Francisco Bay Area this year has limited my access to my larger telescope (12 inch SCT)… This rain has been so significant, I was force to weatherize my observatory… My goal here is,,, I am trying to remotely control my observatory totally. I have used Netgear Powerline 2000 to handle camera images and discover controlling rules to do that… High speed is vital for images with cameras over 3 Megs… I have both 12 Mega sensors and 24 Mega sensors… I am also using Netgear Nighthawk router and its mating extender to increase control signals to my observatory that is about 100 feet on the side of hill… I am also using Virtual Here software on a Raspberry Pi inside the observatory to solve the USB interface requirements… I started out using Model B and B+ on level 3 raspberry Pi’s… I have moved to Level 4 Raspberry Pi to gain access to USB 3.0 technology… Big difference! I hope by early spring to have everything working… Bob Ritter MicTechS

I have to admit, I was hesitant to invest in an “all in one” astrophotography program. Being a beginner, I thought the learning curve would be way too steep, but after talking with several friends I decided to give it a try. The first thing I noticed was the logical layout of the main screen. It was very intuitive and easy to navigate. Everything you could need for astrophotography is in this program! Setup of my equipment was quick and easy with no glitches or errors. Everything runs smoothly from capture to the final process. You will surely have questions and this brings me to the next point. Prism’s customer service is second to none! With on line tutorials, a Facebook group and email you will have instant access to knowledgeable users worldwide. My first question was answered directly by the US distributor within a matter of minuets! Take the next step and invest in your future in astrophotography! You’ll never look back!

I have been using Optec LE rotator with a combination of two filter wheels (9 positions Atik EFW2 + 7 position Starlight Xpress EFW) with a CCD. It is solid build and bear load of such setup.

The field rotation accuracy is within 0.1 deg. The system is belt driven with no backlash.

It is also a fantastic option, who use Alpy600 spectroscope and need slit rotation while measuring planets rotation time or capturing the comet spectra.

I have been using PRiSM advanced since one and half years. I used almost all Astro imaging software since past.
PRiSM is integrated software with many outstanding capabilities. PRiSM skychart is so extensive (DSS image reduction makes it more lethal). Skychart shows many inbuilt star catalogs like GSC/SAO/BSC and covers all DSOs ) but anytime can be embedded with more extensive star catalogs like USNO-A2.0/UCAC4/ PPMXL(net)/NOMAD(net)/GAIA DR-1 and now PRiSM is going to add GAIA DR-2 as well. PRiSM has the capability to plate solve image with many extensive star catalogs mentions above (also online nova.astrometry.net solution and offline using ANSVR setup) as well as color band photometry and it does precisely the examples are:
    http://www.astronomerstelegram.org/?read=12189
    http://www.astronomerstelegram.org/?read=12204
Here you can see much error in magnitude estimation, but it is not PRiSM fault as observations done in average sky condition with small aperture telescope (average S/N value).
PRiSM very well updates MPC data, but what about the astrometry and moving object image stacking. The answer is yes. PRiSM stacks those images using star catalog based plate solving.
Again, PRiSM run my all imaging instruments like all 3 CCDs , two filter wheels, autoguiding and focus control.
No doubt PRiSM is lowest in price range compare to other available.
Again, I am totally in love with this software. It is the software of the next generation.
    Clear skies and Starry nights.
